Bloodstained Hands
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
"What if you knew you were going to die?
If you knew that thousands would die in your wake?
What if you could stop it from happening?
What would you do?
What wouldn't you do?"

The most recent version of the game will be made available here. To use save files from a previous version, simply move the save files from the folder of the previous version to the new folder. All save files from the current version will be compatible with future versions.
NOTE FOR V5.3 If you are updating the game from a previous version to 5.3 and beyond, certain features of the game will not function correctly and your characters may have odd skills. To fix this, simply use the list at the entrance to the Sanctuary any time after completing your training. This also works on New Game Plus.
NOTE FOR V5.0: If you are updating the game from a previous version to 5.0 and beyond, please ensure that you do not save your game inside either the Tower of Unda or the Tower of Lux. Updating the game with a save file inside one of those dungeons may cause you to get stuck and make your save files unplayable.
NOTE FOR MOBILE: The mobile version of this game is compatible with JoiPlay. Please see the devlog post for instructions on how to install onto your mobile device and how to set up the controls.

I played this a few years ago. Got stuck on... the 3rd form of the final boss with no hope of beating him. The final dungeon just ridiculously far surpassed my party's power level. So this has been remade? Can i use my old save file or do i have to restart?
The game has actually been remade almost entirely. It's a vastly different experience, with little compatibility to old saves, so unfortunately no, your previous saves would not work with this version. I welcome you to start a new file if you so choose! And thank you for playing, I appreciate the support.
i've been playing for a while, and i get the feeling that battles are gonna be the same as before. Usually the assassins have to shroud constantly (which they usually dodge, why the flip are they dodging their own buffs) because everyone else dies before they get turns as they are too slow. If it continues like this, I will have no chance against the final boss just like when i played the original. Stuck on dawn right now, but I kinda dont want to keep going if i still have no chance against the final boss.
I can definitely understand why you might be struggling. There are a number of different strategies you can employ for combat, and different strategies may work better in different circumstances (e.g. against singular enemies as opposed to groups). Here are some things you might consider looking into to ease the difficulty:
If you are looking for specific combat strategies, I'd be more than happy to help give some suggestions, but I encourage you to develop your own style of playing and learn what works best for you. The combat is designed to be challenging, but with the right methods nothing should be impossible. I'd suggest starting with adjusting the battle speed and wait modes. Learning how they work and getting familiar with them can create a world of difference depending on who you're facing.
The game froze when dawn called in minions
Strange, I'll look into that. There shouldn't be any reason for that, but I'll double check and see if I can duplicate the bug. Thank you for the information.
I've managed to recreate the bug, from what I can see it only occurs if the battle wait mode is set to Full. Changing the wait mode should fix it, battle settings can be changed in the System menu. I will work on a fix for this for all wait modes in the mean time. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, and I hope you'll continue to play.
EDIT: I've found a way to fix the bug on all wait modes, I'll be releasing an updated version with the bug fix within the next 24 hours. Thank you for your patience.
